Our Pastor 

Rev. Dr. Cecil L. Bromell, D.Min.
Rev. Dr. Cecil L. Bromell is the son of Deacon Lucky and Rev. Essie Mae Bromell, the fourth of eight children, and a native of Loris, South Carolina.

He is a 1984 graduate of Loris High School and a 2004 graduate of Morris College Sumter, South Carolina. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Pastoral Ministry, graduated Magna Cum Laude, and fourth in a class of 168. Rev. Bromell is a 2007 honor graduate of the Interdenominational Theological Center (ITC), Morehouse School of Religion in Atlanta, Georgia, earning the Master of Divinity degree. In 2012, he received a Doctor of Ministry Degree from the ITC.

He is a member of Theta Phi Theological Honor Society, the ITC Alumni Association, National Dean's List, O.R. Reuben Scholar, All-American Collegiate Scholar, Sigma Tau Delta Honor Society, Alpha Kappa Mu Honor Society, and Who's Who Among American Universities & Colleges.

Throughout his life, Rev. Bromell has served in various capacities within the church, such as, President of the Usher Board, teacher of the youth and adult Sunday School, served on the Trustee Board, served as Church Treasurer, ordained as a Deacon, served as secretary of the Deacon Ministry, was called into the gospel ministry in September of 1989, and ordained in May of 1994. He served as Senior Pastor of the Nazarene Missionary Baptist Church, Mullins, South Carolina for 12 years. Rev. Bromell served as assistant to the pastor at Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church in Marion, South Carolina for 3 years.

His civic involvements include: True Light of Zion Lodge #399 Free and Accepted Masons and Mt. Moriah #1 Order of the Eastern Star.

Rev. Bromell previously served as the 2nd Vice-President of the Marion County Branch of the NAACP. He served on the Board of Directors for the Little Pee Dee Manor, a residential community for senior citizens, the Executive Board of the Little Pee Dee Baptist Association, the Executive Board of Genesis Health Care, Inc. and has served as Director of Operations for the Boys and Girls Club of Williamsburg County, located in Hemingway.

Currently, Rev. Bromell serves as President of the Darlington Ministerial Alliance, Vice President of Macedonia Life-Skills Center, and President of the Pee Dee Baptist Sunday School Department. He is also a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.

Rev. Bromell is a member and the 8th pastor of the historic Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church located on the corner of Lee and South Main Street in the beautiful city of Darlington, South Carolina. He is a prolific teacher and preacher of God's Word.

Rev. Bromell is married to the former Ms. Poiette McGill of Marion, South Carolina, and they have three wonderful children, Shakira, Victory, and CeJay, one darling granddaughter, Mercy and two handsome grandsons, Timothy and Michael. The Bromell's reside in Darlington, South Carolina.
